Works to the trees in Trilley Fields Play Area and The Rec will be carried out during this week, February 24-28.
The works are necessary for safety reasons and the health of the trees following the recommendations contained in the Arboricutural Survey carried out for Maulden Parish Council, which can be read here.
As far as possible MPC’s contractor will endeavour to avoid impacting nesting birds but, as these works are required for the safety of nearby properties and the public accessing these areas and to ensure the parish council complies with insurance expectations and requirements, it is necessary to complete them as soon as possible.
Apologies for the short notice but MPC have only just had confirmation from the contractor that they are able to start the works this week.
There will also be some chipping of the felled trees and removed branches taking place on site, particularly at Trilley Fields Play Area, for ease of disposal so please do be aware and stay behind the signs and cones.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
