BLCF WINTER APPEAL
For the third year running, Bedfordshire & Luton Community Foundation (BLCF) are launching their Winter Appeal, building a hardship fund to support those who are living in poverty in the county.
The fund aims to help those in crisis with paying for their energy bills, providing warm winter clothing or other essentials. With rising energy costs and the increasing pressures on people’s living costs they want to support those who would otherwise need to choose between eating or heating.
Partnering with key organisations such as Home-Start Central Beds and Dunstable & District Citizens Advice Bureau, independent charity BCLF can ensure support is reaching those most in need.
The fundraising appeal runs from November and February and aims to raise £25,000 – last year BCLF helped more than 1,300 families and individuals across the county, and they hope to increase it this year.
