Allotment vandalism

Allotment vandalism

Three of the five new signs on the parish council allotments in Moor Lane have been vandalised within a few days of being installed.

Despite the bolts being deliberately bent during the November 4 installation in a bid to prevent the removal of the No Public Right Of Way signs, it was discovered on November 8 that the three over the back of the site had been ripped off the posts and stolen.

This wanton vandalism means Maulden Parish Council have to pay to replace these signs – the damage has been reported so if anyone has information about the incident please do contact Beds Police quoting crime reference 40/60281/21, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, or you can speak in confidence to a councillor or the allotments steward.

Thank you.
