SLIDE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Vandalism in The Rec play area means the slide has had to be cordoned off and cannot be used.
Broken glass shards have been tipped down the metal tube slide – which cost £25,000 and was installed just a year ago – along with a sticky substance preventing it from being easily cleaned.
For everyone’s safety Maulden Parish Council have roped off the equipment with wooden pallets while a safe cleaning method is investigated.
The vandalism has been reported to the police (crime number to follow).
