Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Budget and Action Plan Consultation is launched
Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service (BFRS) have launched a consultation on their proposals for service delivery and budget and council tax requirements for 2022/23.
BFRS are engaging with the local community to seek views on their priorities and proposals to increase contributions to their funding from council tax. You can view the full consultation document here.
You can take part in the consultation here.
BRFS’ Community Risk Management Plan, which you can view here, sets out how they propose to focus their efforts on delivering next year.
The Fire & Rescue Authority are currently considering a council tax increase of 1.99 per cent, taking the Band D charge to £104.45 per annum with an increase for a Band D property of £2.04 per year, or just under four pence per week.
BRFS would like everyone’s views on whether this increase is reasonable or not. They would also like to hear any ideas people have for future savings and proposals.
The closing date for the consultation is January 31, 2022. Once the consultation is closed BRFS will share the outcome with the public.
